Calm Magnesium Powder & Why I Use It

Calm Magnesium Powder & Why I Use It

Did you know that Health Canada confirms that most Canadians aren’t getting enough magnesium from their diet?

Magnesium is only found in significant quantities in seeds, nuts, legumes & leafy greens & most North Americans don’t eat enough of these foods to meet their requirements! YET, magnesium is used in over 300 reactions in our bodies, a.k.a. YES, IT’S VITAL. In case you didn’t catch my drift!

I take magnesium capsules daily for all the amazing benefits it provides:

• counterbalances high levels of calcium & helps with structural development of bone & synthesis of DNA, RNA & antioxidants
• boosts vitamin D assimilation
• creates energy by activating ATP (our energy currency)
• vital for GABA function, a neurotransmitter that produces happy hormones (serotonin), calms the brain, promotes relaxation & reduces brain fog
• quiets a racing mind, relaxes muscle contraction & promotes restful sleep (can help treat insomnia)
• anti-inflammatory
• relaxes muscles in the GI tract & neutralizes stomach acid, moving stool through the intestines
• plays a role in neurotransmitter signals & muscle contractions & prevents muscle spasms
• regulates calcium & potassium transport in the body, helps nerve impulses & maintains normal heart rate
• supports blood pressure & prevents hypertension
• improves blood circulation & reduces migraine pain by releasing pain-reducing hormones
• balances blood sugar
• helps in the absorption of minerals & metabolism

Some nights, I also dissolve Natural Calm Magnesium powder in water & drink it before bed. I don’t do it every night, but more on days where I work harder at the gym & want to restore my electrolytes a little more & reduce muscle soreness/promote quicker recovery.

It’s also great before bed when I feel anxious or stressed to calm my mind & promote a full night’s sleep that’s restful & uninterrupted.

The product is vegan, sugar, artificial flavour/colour & gluten-free & non-GMO. I get the unflavoured because the flavoured ones contain stevia & I can’t stand the taste! You can find it at all health food stores.
