Just tried the Drunk Elephant Sukari Baby Facial for the 1st time & I’m #shook! I cannot believe I waited this long!
If you’ve never heard of it, it’s an AHA/BHA at-home facial that chemically exfoliates skin, resurfaces, clarifies by unclogging the pores & getting rid of built-up dead skin cells, improves skin texture & tone & gives a more youthful radiance.
I was initially scared to try it because it contains 25% AHA & 2% BHA, so it’s definitely a strong product, but the only way to know is to try. I chemically exfoliate all the time so I took my chances & boy am I glad I did!
It also contains antioxidant-rich matcha, apple & milk thistle, sodium hyaluronate & non-fragrant plant oils for hydration & nourishment, chickpea flour to brighten & balance without stripping skin of moisture, pumpkin for enzyme action & niacinamide for skin cell turnover!
When I first applied it, I def felt a tingling sensation but it went away after a minute or 2! The mask slightly tightened, but wasn’t uncomfortable at all! I washed it off with a warm washcloth after 20 minutes & my first impression was wow!
My skin was slightly red but felt so soft, smooth, fresh clear & clean & it had a natural glow! Basically, everything I look for in a chemical exfoliant!
I finished off with the Marula Oil, as directed & I cant wait to see how my skin feels in the AM! But, my first impression is definitely!
My best advice when it comes to acids & chemical exfoliation is do your research about the product, start slow & don’t be afraid to try it; our skin can handle it & often, it’s actually the other ingredients in products (fragrance, mineral oils etc.) that cause sensitivity & irritation!
Geez you’re so pretty! Great review!
