Every night before bed, I drink 3 tbsp. raw organic apple cider vinegar & 2 tbsp. fermented turmeric & ginger.
BTW, your ACV should always be “with the mother” & cloudy at the bottom of the bottle (the murky cloudiness at the bottom of the bottle is a by-product of fermentation & it’s what contains all the beneficial bacteria & amazing benefits).
The fermented turmeric & ginger is full of enzymes, B-vitamins, anti-inflammatory compounds, probiotics & antioxidants.
The combo of these 2 ingredients helps with:
- skin clarity
- gut health
- digestion
- liver detoxification
- maintaining healthy pH levels
- energy
- blood sugar control
- cognitive function
- immunity & strengthens the body’s overall defence systems
I drink it with a stainless steel straw to protect enamel (it’s also better for the environment than plastic).
I drink it straight but you can dilute it with water/organic unsweetened apple juice.
Other ways to incorporate ACV into your life: add to dressings & marinades daily OR take ACV capsules (make sure the non-medicinal ingredients are clean & be conscious that capsules are always a bit less bioavailable than powder or liquid because the body has to break down the capsule).
After you take the shot, drink a big glass of water to prevent burning in the esophagus.
The benefits I’ve seen ever since starting this are HUGE;
- improved digestion
- clearer & de-puffed skin
- enhanced energy & general excitement & feeling great when I wake up in the AM
- feeling fresh, clean & detoxified
- waking up with a flat tummy & no inflammation!
For consistent results, this is something you should incorporate DAILY & not just sporadically.
You get used to the taste, I swear! It’s so much easier for me than it was months ago – it’s all about toughing it out in the beginning & getting your body accustomed!
If you are new to this, ease your way in. Both ingredients are acidic, so you want to gage your body’s reaction before going full force. I made my way up to 2 & 3 tbsp. I recommend starting with 2 tsp. ACV & 2 tsp. turmeric & ginger & work your way up.
