I love the idea of being able to make veggie juice without a juicer!
Veggie juice makes me happy, especially when it’s THIS easy, fresh & delish!
All you need are a few simple ingredients & a blender. I used organic beet powder, fresh lemon, cucumber & ground ginger & the result is a beautiful blend of natural sweetness, citrusy zest, a spicy kick & just the right right amount of fresh from the cucumber.
I went out on a whim with this recipe in hopes to create a pre-workout shot & it definitely gave me a good burst of energy to power through tonight’s sweat sesh.
Although it tasted great, I don’t want to say it’s a game changer for boosting energy just yet because I want to try it a few more times before rendering the verdict! There are so many reasons why our bodies have more or less energy on a given day, from hormones to sleep to the food & supplements we fuel our bodies with. But I do have high hopes for this one based on how I felt tonight! UPDATE: THIRD TIME USING IT PRE-WORKOUT TODAY & I WAS LEGIT JUMPING OFF THE WALLS.
Beets are also high in immune-boosting vitamin C, fibre & essential minerals, such as potassium, necessary for healthy blood pressure & muscle function & manganese, vital for bone, liver, kidney & pancreatic health.
Beets also naturally stimulate the liver’s detoxifying process, making the great for stimulating digestion & skin-healing. Lastly, they’re FULL of antioxidants + carotenoids, which boost brain function & fight mood disorders.
