Vulnerability, Healing & Why You Don’t Have To Go Through It Alone.

Vulnerability, Healing & Why You Don’t Have To Go Through It Alone.

I’m so grateful for the feedback & support I got from you guys after my post all about rest days & how it’s so difficult for me to take them. You can read it here: What I Think Of Rest Days & Why I Have To Start Practicing What I Preach

I’m also glad that it resonated with many of you & that we all know we’re not alone. I think it’s important to put ourselves out there when we feel comfortable doing so because we have the power to help one another without even knowing it. That’s the beauty of this platform & one of the reasons why I wake up everyday & absolutely LOVE what I do.

I really do believe there’s so much strength in vulnerability & it’s so undervalued because we’ve been taught to associate being vulnerable with weakness, submissiveness & forfeit. But being vulnerable is about so much more than that.

It’s so easy to get caught up in our own struggles & to think we have it worse off than everyone else.

But reality is, we’re all struggling with something. And nobody’s struggle, as difficult or easy as it may be to live through, is more worthy or valuable than another’s. Everybody’s struggle is just that: a struggle.

I think what matters most is not how difficult the struggle is from an objective point of view, but rather, the acknowledgement that it’s there. That’s really the first step.

Denial is human nature. Acceptance, not so much.

But in life, we don’t have a right to the cards we believe we should’ve been dealt. We don’t have a right to choose what’ll challenge us or get in the way of our hopes & dreams. What we do have is an obligation to play our cards in a way that’s conducive to our healing & playing those cards means facing & accepting the things we don’t want to.

That’s what vulnerability is about. Opening our hearts & minds to the things that are so much easier to repress.

Vulnerability is about healing & knowing that no matter how hard we try to repress it, our struggle is real & there & we have to endure it, live through it & love it. We have to move on, be better for it & move as forward as we can in the direction of our best, happiest & healthiest life.

The genuine healing is in our hands. BUT WE DON’T HAVE TO GET THERE ALONE.

That’s why we have each other. Nobody needs to struggle or suffer alone. I want you to know, I’m right there with you. <3
