Here’s a yummy afternoon snack idea to keep you on track!
Hummus + crackers is one of my fave things to snack on because it’s filling, satisfying, savoury & DELISH! It holds me off until my next meal because it packs a nice protein + fibre punch! I always like to top it with some fresh crunchy veggies + spices.
Today, I used buckwheat crisp bread crackers by Pain Des Fleurs, which are made with just ONE ingredient: buckwheat. They’re light, airy, so yummy & nutritious! I love that they don’t get soggy when I spread the hummus! I generally have anywhere between 2 & 4 crisps, depending how hungry I’m feeling / when my next meal is. I really just go based on how hungry I’m feeling!
Often, crackers can be filled with so many unnecessary ingredients: table salt, refined flour + sugar, hydrogenated + partially hydrogenated oils, dextrose, preservatives, high fructose corn syrup + soy lecithin, to name a few. These crackers are as clean as it gets & pack NO BS.
I topped them with organic thai coconut curry hummus by Hope Foods, cucumber, radish, 24-herb organic seasoning by Bragg’s & nutritional yeast for some B12, other B-vitamins + plant protein.
