Contrary to what you may have been led to believe, FITNESS is for YOU. In fact, fitness is for EVERYONE.
I talk to a lot of people who feel like working out will never be for them. They feel demotivated, they don’t know where to start & they doubt their abilities. Those are the thoughts they fuel their minds with: lack of motivation, feeling lost & uncertain & doubt. Those thoughts also happen to be the only thing keeping them from their fitness goals.
It’s true, you won’t start out being the strongest in the room.
You might have to stop halfway through to take a break.
You might find the class too difficult.
You might leave a class or two altogether until you find the ones that work for you.
These experiences might take a toll on your confidence. But you have to live them, get through them & eventually, overcome them to build your strength.
Fitness is as much about mental strength as it is about physical. Like anything new & unfamiliar, it might take you some time to build your way up to where you want to be. But if you tell yourself YOU CAN, then YOU WILL.
Your actions are a direct reflection of your thoughts.
Why do you want to incorporate fitness into your life?
FIND YOUR WHY + PURSUE IT!
My best word of advice when you start & always, is not to compare yourself to others. Every one started somewhere & there’s NO REASON whatsoever for you to put yourself down because you think someone is stronger or more “fit” than you are.
Be your own person. Follow your own journey. Track your own progress & believe in yourself wholeheartedly.
When you fuel your mind with positivity, positivity is what you radiate & put out in everything that you do.
Next time you have doubts about whether you should show up to that workout class, just show up. We all preach consistency but the first step to establishing it is PRESSING START.
Today, I encourage you to press start in just one aspect of your life, fitness or not. Let today be a bright new beginning for something that you aspire to become a consistent part of your life. Just do it.
