What if I told you that you don’t have to settle for the things that don’t make you happy or bring anything positive to your life?
You don’t have to settle for anything less than your worth or for anything less than the life you’re capable of living.
YOU’RE CAPABLE OF LIVING YOUR LIFE HOWEVER YOU WANT IT. BUT YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. Nobody will do it for you.
For 2 years, I gave up on myself. I called myself a “hopeless failure“. I reached a point where I accepted that I was destined to live my life with anorexia forever.
In pursuit of my eating disorder & obeying every single one of ED’s commands, I settled for a lifeless life. Settling made me forget what it meant to truly be alive.
Recovery is one of the greatest gifts I could’ve ever asked for. It’s a gift I gifted myself because I KNEW I WAS CAPABLE & I MADE IT HAPPEN. I looked at the life I settled for dead straight in the eye & I decided I was worth more than everything that life entailed.
You don’t have to settle for the mediocre job, the one you dread waking up for, the one you aren’t passionate about or the one where you count the hours until you can go home.
You don’t have to settle for a life where your mental or physical illness stops you from living.
You don’t have to settle for a relationship where you don’t feel valued, prioritized or loved, simply because it’s the only one you know, because you’re comfortable or because you’re afraid of the future.
You don’t have to settle for a life where you deprive your body & don’t feel healthy because of others’ opinions on why there’s something wrong with your appearance.
You don’t have to give up on your dreams because others don’t agree with them.
You don’t have to be someone you’re not to make others happy.
You can pursue your passion.
You can live your life happily & fully, even with a mental or physical illness.
You can leave a relationship where you feel unloved & like a “2nd option” & you can overcome your fear of what the future holds & learn to see uncertainty as something beautiful & exciting.
You can live a healthy life, nourish & love your body so it can sustain you, even in a society that tells you to do the opposite.
You can pursue your dreams, even if others think they’re impossible.
You can be yourself & make yourself happy FIRST.
You can live the life you want.
BUT ONLY YOU HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE IT ALL HAPPEN.
GO FOR IT. I’m rooting for you.
