Cheers to the weekend being over! Just kidding… can we really say that that’s a “cheers!” situation!? Actually… it can be if you follow some of my tips to start your week off on the right foot!
WAKE UP WITH A POSITIVE MINDSET & OUTLOOK. It sets the tone for the way the rest of your week will go & gives you motivation to crush any challenge that’s thrown your way. Positive mind attracts positive energy & positive energy means positive vibes!
LET GO OF THE IDEA THAT YOU NEED TO CONTROL EVERYTHING. Accept the unexpected & learn that sometimes, there’s a reason why things don’t go exactly the way you planned. The reason isn’t always obvious, but it’s there & you’ll find out sooner than later. Learn to love & appreciate the beauty of uncertainty!
GET MOVING. Getting in a workout on a Monday makes you more inclined to continue exercising throughout the week! Exercise also makes you feel good, helps you cope with any stress & anxiety that your busy week ahead might cause, releases endorphins, boosts energy, focus & concentration & encourages you to make healthier choices. It doesn’t have to be a strenuous or crazy intense workout. It can be a spin class, a yoga or Pilates class or even just a walk on your lunch break.
MAKE TIME FOR YOU. As hard as it is, take 30 minutes & do something that calms you & lets you unwind. For me, everyday is another Monday & another opportunity to continue crushing your week. Self-care is the best way to replenish your mind & body for tomorrow’s challenges, work & commitments. Do a mask, watch TV, have a glass of vino, spend time with your honey, kids or a friend , take a bath, read a book, listen to music or write in a journal!
REMIND YOURSELF OF ONE THING YOU LOVE ABOUT YOU & THAT YOU’RE THANKFUL FOR THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR APPEARANCE. Your kind heart. Your generosity. Your selflessness. The way you care for others. Your determination & motivation. Your positive outlook on life. Your family. Friends. Relationships. These are the real things that add value to your life. Cherish them.
