Real Talk: Real Beauty Can Never Be Filtered, Posed or Mechanically Enhanced.
Yes, I just posted three of (pretty much) the same picture.
BUT HOLD UP.
There’s a reason for that.
All taken seconds apart.
Different shots, angles & poses.
In each one of these photos, my body looks slightly different, but guess what?
I LOVE MY BODY IN EVERY SINGLE ONE.
I love it not because my thighs look curvier or farther apart or my stomach looks flatter in one or the other.
I love it because my beauty is more than skin deep.
I LOVE IT BECAUSE IT SUSTAINS ME.
I love it because it keeps me alive.
I love it because it’s healthy & full of energy.
I love it because it fuels me with the strength & desire to be a better version of myself every single day.
The way my body LOOKS doesn’t mean a thing.
It doesn’t determine my worth or value.
It doesn’t make me smarter, stronger, wiser, more interesting or passionate or a better friend or person.
What makes me all of those things is the way my body FEELS.
Despite what today’s society has done such a good job at brainwashing us with, bodies are not all meant to look a certain way, nor are they meant to feel a certain way.
We are not carbon copies or clones of one another.
If we were, this world would be a pretty boring place.
BUT, WHEN YOUR BODY FEELS GOOD, YOU WILL BE GOOD & DO GOOD.
That’s what truly matters.
The way you pose, the angle at which you take your photos & the filters you choose to use to enhance them, all of that is fun. WE ALL DO IT.
But at the end of the day, the majority of what you see on social media & in the media IS NOT REAL.
Don’t let it eat you alive.
Don’t let it force you into thinking you were made to LOOK A CERTAIN WAY & that if you don’t, YOU ARE NOT VALUABLE.
You are more than how well you can enhance, filter & move your body to look a certain way.
Thigh gap or not, flat tummy or not, curvy thighs or hips, chubby cheeks, flabby or toned arms…
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.
You just have to let yourself see it.
Open your eyes.
Look deep within your soul & into who you are as a person.
That’s something that can never be filtered, posed or mechanically enhanced.
THAT’S WHERE YOUR REAL BEAUTY LIES.
