My Journey Towards Living My Healthiest & Happiest Life Through Nutrition, Fitness & Mindwork

YOU’RE your ONLY LIMIT. You Have The Power To Make The IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE.
Yes, I know.
Sometimes, it’s hard to get out of bedafter a weekend of partying, delish food & perhaps some alcohol (Oops!), let alone muster up the willpower to get your butt to the gym.
TELL ME ABOUT IT.
I won’t lie, today, it was a bit harder to get out of bed at the crack of dawn (as I always do) & the thought of squatting/doing crunches/push-ups & lifting weights, or anything for that matter was nauseating.LITERALLY.
Then I got up (an hour & a half later than usual, BUT WHO CARES!), had breaky & mustered up the courage to get my booty to the gym & I DID.
As I pushed through the class (which was slightly harder to get through today), the thoughts of squatting/doing crunches/push-ups & lifting weights were no longer thoughts BUT ACTIONS, continuous ones I pulled off until the end of the class.
BUT HOW ON EARTH DID I GET MYSELF TO THE GYM IN THE FIRST PLACE?
For me, on the days when I’m just not feeling it:
I remind myself of how AMAZING I feel after a workout:
The adrenaline rush.
The feeling of accomplishment & success.
The pride & strength.
The burst of energy.
&
Most of all, the feeling that because I am recovered, I now have the strength, ability, drive, energy, determination & permission to do something my illness deprived me of for so long.
Working out is (one of) my ways of telling anorexia that while she held a tight grip & strong control over me for a year or two, that grip & control was only temporary.
It wasn’t strong enough to:
Take my life away.
Destroy my passion.
Put out the fire in my soul.
OR
Enslave me to the point of worship.
So my loves, ALL THIS TO SAY:
On days when it’s a little harder for you to get out of bed & when it seems impossible to get up & workout…
REMIND YOURSELF OF HOW YOU’LL FEEL ONCE YOU DO & OF WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO DO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.
At the end of the day, ONLY YOU CAN PUSH YOURSELF.
YOU’RE your ONLY LIMIT.
Limits are SELF-IMPOSED.
You’re confined only to the walls you build yourself.
KEEP ALL THAT IN MIND & know that, it’s true what they say:
