The Nitty-Gritty of My Eye-Care Routine & Lineup!
Here to go on none other than a SKINCARE RANT!
SHOUTOUT TO ALL MY SKINCARE BABES who have been asking me about the order in which I apply my eye serums, creams & de-puffing balms!
To a certain extent, this is somewhat of a personal choice & depends largely on the texture, thickness & consistency of your serums & creams.
Let me explain!
Basically, the goal is to apply your products from lightest to heaviest so that the heavier ones can penetrate though the lighter ones & get absorbed more efficiently.
As I’ve mentioned to you babes in the past, I ABSOLUTELY ADORE (& basically only use) thick & dense eye creams because I feel as though they do the trick better for my dark circles.
Therefore, the way I do it:
STEP ONE: APPLY MOISTURIZER
ALWAYS make sure to apply it in an upward motion.
At the moment, I’m using:
Josie Maran Cosmetics SPF 47 Argan Daily Moisturizer in the morning
Sunday Riley C+E antiOXIDANT at night!
Both of which are LIGHTER in texture than any of the eye creams that I use.
STEP TWO: APPLY EYE SERUM
At the moment, I am absolutely in love with the Drunk Elephant Skincare Shaba Complex Eye Serum, but I also really like the Kiehl’s Super Multi-Correcting Eye Opening Serum!
STEP THREE: APPLY EYE CREAM
At the moment, I am alternating between:
Peter Thomas Roth Power K Eye Rescue
Farmacy Beauty Eye Dew
Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with NONE OTHER THAN AVOCADO!
But I also love the Perricone MD Re:Firm Eye & Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye Cream!
STEP FOUR: APPLY EYE BALM
On days when I wake up with puffiness in the area around my eyes, I use an eye balm to soothe!
Right now, I am loving:
Cocokind Skincare Matcha Stick
Kate Somerville Goat Milk De-Puffing Eye Balm!
THIS IS WHAT WORKS FOR ME!
It may not work for you guys, for example, if you prefer to use a very thick & rich moisturizer &/or a lighter eye cream, you may find that applying your moisturizer AFTER your eye care is more effective.
It’s all about trial & error, my loves!
DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU!
Hope this helps!
LOVE YOU ALL!
