Here to rant about the SITCH IN MAH KITCH THIS MORNING.
I’m talking COLLAGEN COOKIE DOUGH BALLS… the healthy way!
These babies are PACKED WITH COLLAGEN & as y’all know, collagen is SO IN RIGHT NOW. No, but all jokes aside, collagen is FREAKING AWESOME & people are taking it these days for many different reasons, which I will discuss in more deets SHORTLY. But, in a nutshell, IT IS A GREAT SOURCE OF PROTEIN (which makes these munchkins a great post-workout snack!), it’s great for strengthening your nails, promoting healthy hair & keeping your skin looking youthful & radiant! &
What better way than to get your collagen fix than with collagen powder-infused COOKIE DOUGH?! (P.S. Collagen powder is legit the most versatile thing ever & can be added to smoothies, lattes, baked goods & so much more!).
ANYWHO, back to these balls, let me give you a little tease about these ingredients…
GLUTEN-FREE OAT FLOUR (I use Bob’s Red Mill)!
COLLAGEN (I used Bulletproof brand for these babies but I also have the Collagen Peptides by Vital Proteins & I know a lot of you munchkins do too & it would work perfectly for this recipe as well!)!
Raw organic hemp nut butter (I use New World Foods)!
Pure organic maple syrup (I use Decacer)!
COCONUT OIL, obvs! (I use Nutiva)
Semi-sweet chocolate chips (I use the ones by Krisda) – I mean, what’s cookie dough without the CHOCOLATE chips, right?! Plus, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO INDULGE EVERY NOW & THEN. If your bod ain’t giving you the okay, GUESS WHAT? I AM!
I simply could NOT wait to share these scrumptiously-delicious little munchkins with you guys!
I swear… I took one bite & then I realized, “KELLY, YOU JUST CREATED ANOTHER STAPLE. HOW MUCH BAKING (WELL, these are actually no-bake, but you catch my drift) CAN YOU DO IN ONE WEEK?”. Oh well, guess these munchkins mean more time in the kitch for me & I honestly ain’t even mad bro.
NO BUT SERIOUSLY, THE OATY-NESS. WOAH. & THEY ARE LEGIT A COOKIE. I swear. Like if you took these & baked ‘em, YOU WOULD GET THE CLEANEST AF MOST DELISH COOKIES OF LIFE. But, don’t bake them. They are so good & scrumptious & chewy & perfect when refrigerated & devoured. (BUT, I mean, whatever floats your boat! BAKE THEM IF YOU WANT!).
OK & also, I calculated the nutritional information on these babies (because I know so many of you were going to ask & well, I LOVE YOU GUYS! It’s plain & simple!) & wait for it… it’s BOOM-AF!!!! EACH BALL PACKS:
10 GRAMS OF PROTEIN!
A MEASLY 35MG OF SODIUM!

OKAY, NOW BEFORE I SHARE THESE BABIES WITH YOU, let’s talk COLLAGEN!!! WHAT’S ALL THE RAGE ABOUT, RIGHT?!
Basically, collagen is the most ABUNDANT PROTEIN in our bods. It’s found in everything from our muscles, bones, skin, blood vessels, digestive system, tendons & is what helps give our skin strength, elasticity & replacing dead skin cells! Basically, it’s the glue that helps hold our bodies together! Sounds awesome, right?
THE ONLY ISSUE? Our bod’s collagen production NATURALLY starts to slow down as we age (WHAT THE F CAN WE DO ABOUT IT, RIGHT?). Anywho, I know you’re convinced & so, without further ado, SINCE THAT RANT TOOK A FREAKING YEAR & THEN SOME, LET’S GET TO THE NITTY-GRITTY!
My loves, YOU WILL NEED:
- 1 cup of gluten-free oat flour (I use Bob’s Red Mill). You can also use coconut flour for these babies, if you prefer!
- ½ cup of collagen powder (I use the one by Bulletproof for these, but I also have the Collagen Peptides by Vital Proteins & they are great too!)
- 1/3 cup of raw organic hemp nut butter (or ANY OTHER nut butter of your choice, i.e. cashew, almond, peanut, hazelnut or sunflower!);
- 1/3 cup of pure organic maple syrup;
- 1 tbsp. of organic virgin coconut oil, MELTED;
- ¼ – ½ cup of ANY chocolate chips of your choosing! LET YOUR MINDS RUN WILD, MY LOVES & GIVE YOUR TUMMY WHAT IT LOVES, be it milk chocolate, dark, semi-sweet, white or butterscotch!
NOW, FOR THAT HOW-TO?
It seriously cannot be simpler. In fact, most protein ball recipes will almost always require a food processor, BUT GET THIS?! This one does not!!!! So I basically just made your life EVEN easier.
ANYWHO, all this to say, all you need for these babies is ONE LARGE BOWL (& a wooden spoon or spatula, but I mean… THAT WAS OBVIOUS, RIGHT? I mean, I guess the bowl was pretty damn obvious too, but whatevz! ALL THIS RANTING TO SAY THAT THIS RECIPE IS SIMPLE, EASY, QUICK & DOESN’T REQUIRE 2483294329842 DISHES!).
All you gotta do is:
- Combine oat flour, collagen, nut butter, maple syrup, coconut oil & chocolate chips in A LARGE-AF BOWL. Mix like cray until a batter forms.
- Once you have a perfect & gorgeous AF batter, FORM THESE BABIES INTO BALLS & REFRIGERATE PRONTO!
P.S. THESE MUNCHKINS can be stored in the fridge for 1 week or in the freezer for longer!
