I whipped her up in like, I don’t even think… FIVE MINUTES?
Okay, so first off, the reason this babe came to life is because a lot of you babies have told me how much you love my dressings & TO KEEP ‘EM COMING & so… there I was, keepin’ ‘em coming.
And… boy, oh boy is this one EXTRA FREAKING SPECIAL, CREAMY & DELISH, not to mention, SIMPLE & EASY-AF!
AND GET THIS? SHE’S LITERALLY EVERYTHNG YOU CAN EVER ASK FOR. I’M TALKING…
Mayo & oil-free!
& Lastly, can be totally made nut-free (by simply removing the walnuts – SHE’S STILL DELISH! PROMISE!).
Ladies & gents, this is Kelly’s Clean-Eating Creamy, Rich & Earthy Walnut & Hemp Heart Dressing a.k.a. You-Won’t-Believe-It’s-Not-Caeser-Oh-&-Superfoods-FTW!
In case you munchkins are not experienced in the hemp seed department, need I mention that the babes turn WONDERFULLY-STUPENDOUSLY CREAMY WHEN THEY ARE BLENDED?!? Like, I’m talking CREAMY TO THE POINT WHERE YOU WOULD THINK (KEYWORD: THINK) THAT THIS BABY IS LOADED WITH FATS, OILS & MAYO! BUT SHE AIN’T!
OH AND, they are also freaking NUTRITIONAL POWERHOUSES & SUPERFOODS! In what sense? YOU ASKED… SO, HERE I GO, ON ANOTHER RANT… WITH NONE OTHER THAN SOME NUTRITION-101 WITH KELLY IN THE KITCH. And today, we talk about HEMP HEARTS/HEMP SEEDS (Same thing, BTW!). Here we go!
They are loaded, and I mean, jam-packed with omega-3 fatty acids & research has actually shown that they contain the PERF OMEGA 3-6-9 FATTY-ACID BALANCE for the bod, helping to reduce inflammation & give the skin, hair & nails a gorgeous glow (OKAY, ADMIT YOU LOVE ME FOR ALL THIS FREE SKINCARE I AM PROVIDING YOU WITH! LAWLZ!). IT AIN’T GOING TO HAPPEN OFTEN!), I kept the flavours simple so that the earthY, distinct, FREAKING DELISH flavour of the hemp hearts can take center stage!!! But you munchkins can totally feel free to play around with the ingredients! Throw in some fresh herbs or other seasonings (& LET ME KNOW HOW YOU LIKED THEM SO I CAN TRY IT OUT TOO!).
I’m telling you munchkins, this babe is a keeper – She’s legit a mix between Caesar & Ranch dressing, ONLY BETTER & BETTER FOR YOU!!!! Sorry not sorry but I legit cannot contain my excitement
My loves, YOU WILL NEED:
- ½ cup of organic hemp hearts (hemp seeds – SAME THING!);
- ½ to ¾ cup water (All depending on how thick/thin you want your dressing to be! I always like to start out with the minimum quantity & then work up from there, because you can always add more, but you can’t take away!).
- ¼ cup of raw organic walnuts;
- 2 tbsp. of nutritional yeast;
- 2 tbsp. of fresh lemon juice;
- 1 clove garlic, PEELED;
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon fine grain sea salt, to taste!
THAT’S IT. THAT’S ALL. Another clean & healthy-AF dressing created JUST FOR YOU BY YOURS TRULY. I love you guys THAT MUCH, yes. It’s true!!!
OKAY, NOW LET ME TELL YOU HOW TO WHIP THIS BABE UP. OR SHOULD I SAY BLEND HER UP. OR SHOULD I SAY. LET ME TELL YOU HOW TO SIT YOUR BUTT DOWN ON YOUR KITCHEN CHAIR & BE LAZY-AF WHILE YOUR BLENDER DOES ALL THE WORK. Yeah, those are the words I was looking for!
- So without further ado, NOW, for the really easy-AF part… the part where you simply toss all this beautifulness into your blender & blend away! Yep, that’s it. Those are the instructions. I swear!
- The only thing I have to tell you munchkins is that with regards to the water, like I said before, I would start out with ½ a cup & then gage it out based on the texture & consistency of your dressing! If you’re not satisfied, at that point, you can add the extra ¼ cup!
- If possible, refrigerate this baby for at least 30 minutes to an hour before lathering & spreading her all over your gorgeous fresh greens! This will allow the flavours to meld together a little bit more & will render the dressing EVEN CREAMIER (Although I am not sure how possible that is given how freaking creamy she ALREADY IS! But whatever, it’s worth a try… that is, IF YOU CAN RESIST HER!).
- If you have leftovers (BUT WHO THE EFF ARE WE KIDDING?), store them in the refrigerator in an airtight container (I like to use mini mason jars)!
- NOW, THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS! LATHER HER ALL OVER GORGEOUS GREENS, A RAINBOW BUDDHA BOWL, USE HER AS A VEGGIE/TORTILLA CHIP DIP OR AS A SPREAD FOR SOME YUMMY CRACKERS! Enjoy my loves & of course, DEVOUR!!!!
