I HOPE YOU ALL HAD AN AMAZING SUNDAY FUNDAY. I know I did! I spent it with my BEST FRIEND IN THE ENTIRE WORLD, who also happens to be my sisssssy! (Ann, you da bomb.com). Can’t ask for anything better!!! Our day consisted of LOTS OF WALKING, SHOPPING, LOTS OF BUCH (For those of you munchkins who aren’t familiar, I’M TALKIN’ ABOUT ‘DAT KOMBUCHA!), LOTS OF SNACKIN’ & LOTS OF LOVE.

Ladies & gents, I present you with Kelly’s Turmeric Vanilla Protein Bites Rolled in Flakes of Coconut Wonderfulness a.k.a. They-See-Me-Rollin’-in-‘Dat-Coco-&-They-Hatin’-They-Jelly-AF-&-Want-Me-to-Share-But-NAH!
These babes are EVERYTHING. Why, you ask?
They are oil & sugar-free!!!!
Packed with healthy fats & LOADS OF PROTEIN (I’m talkin’ each little munchkin ball of wonderfulness contains 5 GRAMS OF PROTEIN!!!!). Holy eff, RIGHT?!
HUGE BOOOOOOST OF ANTIOXIDANTS & CREAMY FLAVOUR!
Perfect post-workout snack OR afternoon pick-me-up!
THEY DON’T REQUIRE ANY BAKING! All you munchkins gotta do is combine all the ingredients in a bowl, stir to combine, roll into balls, roll over BEAUTZ COCONUT FLAKES, refrigerate & DEVOUR!!!!

2) THE FACT THAT SHE WILL TURN ANYTHING SHE TOUCHES YELLOW & STAIN FOR DAYZZZZ (i’m talkin’ your counters, blenders, FINGERS!!! but… the stain is WELL-WORTH-IT, IMO! &

- Turmeric contains bioactive compounds with powerful medicinal properties. These compounds are called CURCUMINOIDS & curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has UBER-POWERFUL anti-inflammatory effects & is SUPER-DUPER STRONG ANTIOXIDANT.
- Turmeric is a NATURAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY COMPOUND that has the ability to inhibit many molecules known to play major roles in inflammation. It is SO POWERFUL that it matches the effectiveness of some anti-inflammatory drugs (except without the side effects!)!!!

KAY, BUT HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE ME?
I KNOW YOU DO. Why am I even asking!?!
Okay, let’s get to the nitty-gritty, babies!!!! Y’all ready for them ingredients? HERE WE GO!!!
My loves, YOU WILL NEED:
- 1 cup of raw organic almond butter or any nut other nut butter of your choosing!
- 4 tbsp. of vanilla protein powder (Feel free to sub for chocolate protein powder if you’re more of a chocolate LOVER!);
- 2 tbsp. of organic coconut flour (Oat flour will also work, BUT I MEAN… COCONUT FLOUR > OAT FLOUR!);
- 2 tbsp. of unsweetened organic almond milk;
- 1 tbsp. of unsweetened organic apple sauce;
- ½ tsp. of cinnamon;
- 2 TSP. OF TURMERIC!!! (DUH!!!!)
- ¼ cup of unsweetened organic shredded coconut flakes for ROLLLLLIN’!!!
KAY, BUT HOW CLEAN & HEALTHY ARE THESE INGREDIENTS?!?! I know… YOU GUYS ARE IN SHOCK!!!! I SHOCKED YOU. THIS SITCH IS LEGIT MAGICAL. OKAY BUT HOW DO YOU WHIP UP THIS MAGIC? That’s exactly what you were wondering, right?! OKAY, HERE WE GO!!!!
- In a MEDIUM MIXING BOWL, combine all the beautiful (NOT TO MENTION, YUMMMMMY-AF) ingredients (except the shredded coconut flakes). STIR ALL THIS WONDERFULNESS TO COMBINE!!! (If you’re LAZY-AF & don’t feel like working them arms, you can also use your blender or food processor!);
- Once combined, place two plates on your counter, ONE WITH ‘DA SHREDDED COCO & another for setting the protein bites on (to refrigerate!);
- Scoop a tablespoon of batter & ROLLLLL INTO BALLS! Wetting your hands will help to make the balls stick together & roll easier. ERGO, WET YOUR HANDS!!!!
- Roll each ball over the shredded COCO FLAKES then place on the empty plate. REPEAT THE PROCESS UNTIL THERE IS NO MO’ BATTER (& you feel a tear or two coming down your face!!!);
- Place the babes, oops, I mean the BALLS, in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes to HARDEN!
