Since I got tons of messages from you guys about the wonder that is this turmeric “latte”, I decided to post it in case some of you want to try it out tomorrow morning! This latte gives me all the warm fuzzies – it’s so yummy, perfect for a cold winter morning and is packed with all the inflammation-fighting properties of ginger & turmeric. Best of all? It’s actually not a coffee a.k.a. it contains zero caffeine. I do admit that I love my caffeine fix, BUT, this latte is pure bliss & is the perfect alternative when you’ve simply reached your maximum amount of coffees for the day, i.e. 8 cups, but I mean, who’s really counting? OR when you just want a warm & cozy drink to unwind after a busy day!
Given my recent obsession with turmeric, I whipped this up this morning and I honestly think it’s going to become one of my go-to’s! It’s super quick & easy to make too so it’s perfect for those rushed mornings when you got out of bed 30 minutes later than you were supposed to… stop lying, I know that happens to you all the time.
ANYWAYS, here’s what you need to whip this baby up:
- 1 1/4 cups of raw unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or any other plant-based milk or regular milk);
- 1/2 tsp. of turmeric;
- 1/2 tsp. of ground ginger;
- 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon;
- a pinch of black pepper;
- 1 tsp. of maple syrup or any other liquid sweetener (agave or honey will work well too).
Add all this yumminness to a small pot over the stove. Heat & whisk all your ingredients together on medium heat until combined & smooth. It should look frothy, the same way the milk would in a real latte. THEN, DRINK UP, FUEL UP & DE-BLOAT (Thank you Ginger & Turmeric, we love you. P.S.
